Why I Blog?

Hello World!

The 20th day after the college entrance examination. Amid gatherings, travel, and filling out college applications, I finally built this digital space of mine using Github Pages and Hexo.

We now have Weibo, WeChat Moments, and QQ Zone, so blogging seems like a very old-fashioned thing. In today’s world of highly developed fragmented social media, why bother setting up a personal blog?

For me, the answer is actually quite simple:

Building an External Brain

Learning computer science is an extremely long and fragmented process. The bugs solved today, the environments configured, and the code tinkered with—if not recorded, may become unfamiliar the next time they’re encountered.

This blog is first and foremost written for “future me.” It’s my study notes and my technical memo. When I encounter the same problem again, I hope the best answer is right under my own domain name.

Deliberate Practice of Output Ability

The ability to explain something clearly is incredibly difficult. I hope that through continuous writing, I can train myself to clearly and accurately convey technical viewpoints and logic, transforming cognition into words—an ability I believe is undervalued.

Output Drives Input

Many technical points seem understood when reading books, but only when trying to write them into logically coherent articles do I realize how vague my understanding is. Blogging forces me to organize knowledge and structure information.

Expecting Resonance

I hope to connect with more like-minded people through this blog. Although this blog’s original intention is to write for myself, if my study notes can help solve my own problems while incidentally helping you on the other side of the screen, that would be my great honor.

In Conclusion

College life is about to begin. I don’t know how long this blog can keep updating. But in the summer of 2023, I want to plant a seed first.
